LED Interior Lights on my Audi A4

Given how my exterior lighting has went from halogen to LED, I thought it was time my interior kept up. This was a super easy mod that only cost about $100 and took but 1-2 hours total at a leisurely pace.

  • Skill Level: Beginner
  • Time Estimate: 1-2 hours max
  • Tools Needed: Flat head screw driver, common sense

Audi A4/S4 B7 – LED Retrofit – S6 LEDs

May 6, 2012 Leave a comment

Here is a DIY guide to retrofit S6 LEDs to a B7 (2005.5-2008) Audi A4 S-line or Audi S4. It would be the same process for other Audi A4 models, except that I’m not sure how much cutting would be required to make them fit. I have seen this done on a B6 before (2002-2005.5), but again, it’s just a matter of whether your bumper has enough space – the rest is possible.

Custom lower S6 Grilles

As a follow-up to one of my more popular posts, how to fit S6 LEDs onto a B7 S-Line or S4 bumper, I often get asked how I made the grilles. I’ve even offered to make them for a few people.

The truth is, they’re not that hard to make – they just take a lot of time, or more specifically, a lot of sanding.

Audi A4 B7 Clear Corner Mod

B7 Clear Corner Mod

I recently did the clear corner mod for my newly acquired S4 and now that I’ve done this mod four different times (twice for myself, twice for friends), I felt it was long overdue to write-up my process and share some tips. It’s not a tricky mod per say, but it does require you to take the bumper off so it does take some time and patience to line up everything back up when you’re done.

LED DRL for B7 Audi A4 & S4

I just finished installing LEDs on my B7 Audi S4 and wanted to share some pics and a quick DIY if you want to do it yourself. Above I’ve pictured the before & after, as you’ll see you get rid of that yellow-ish halogen with a super bright & clean cool white color from the LED. It takes about 10-20 minutes to install and luckily you don’t have to remove the bumper or headlights to install, you just have to wiggle your hands a bunch.

B7 S4 HID Fogs - Before & After

I just finished installing HID/Xenon Fog Lights on my B7 Audi  S4 and it was super easy! The only tool you need is a T25 Torx bit and a pair of hands and you’re ready to go. I was worried I would have to remove the front bumper to do this, but luckily that was not the case. It took about 30 minutes to install the HID kit and is something that even a beginner DIYer should be able to tackle.

Kia K9 Spy Shots

Kia has taken the company’s K9 to Northern Sweden for a little winter testing, and our spy photographers were on hand to catch a glimpse of the vehicle as it went dashing through the snow. The vehicle will borrow from the rear-wheel drive architecture pioneered on the Hyundai Genesis, though will likely boast design cues inspired by the Kia GT Concept. Judging by these photos, full LED headlights will make their way to the model, at least on some trims. Odds are the K9 will boast power from both a 3.8-liter V6 and a 4.6-liter V8 as well as a more powerful 5.0-liter V8 engine borrowed from the Genesis R-Spec.
